When I first heard of this video, I was too late to catch it on YouTube, since it was already removed. I searched YouTube for another copy, but just saw those that were made to scare viewers at the end (sorry, but I am quite used to you guys, I hid 3/4s of the video screen to check first if Linda Blair's 'exorcist' face will appear). Luckily, I chanced upon this full-length 'not scary' controversial video of DJ Mo and Rhian Ramos. See and judge if the video is bad for Rhian's reputation. It was harmless at first, with the two appearing as just two people in-love kissing, but at the end, only a fool would believe they ended up just watching TV...you get what I mean?

Tin-Tin's Amazing Journey to the Big Screen
I must say that the big screen version of The Adventures of Tin-Tin, made possible through the genius minds of Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson , was amazing. It was a feast to the eyes to watch because it was so well-made, you would thought the characters were real people and not computer generated. The story was great as well, since it stayed faithful to the books, and it imparts a lot of lessons to viewers, which makes it a must-see for kids. I will not give out the plot, to not spoil the fun for those who haven't seen the film, but I have posted clips from the film for you too see what I meant by saying that 'the characters were like real people'.

More Than Words...
16 days ago, something unexpected happened to my family...something I hoped wouldn't arrive too soon - my father-in-law had a massive heart attack, and he died in the emergency room of the hospital we brought him to. Even with everything that's happening at that time, we were all still hopeful that he would survive his heart attack, because he was conscious and all that. Just a few minutes after we all sat down outside the ER, we were surprised by the sight of my father-in-law being resuscitated by the doctors and nurses. A few more minutes after that, the doctor informed my mother-in-law that his heart is not responding anymore, and that was when she decided to let go. Tears followed after that. Dad's gone.
If I was to describe my father-in-law in a few words...that's exactly what I'll say - he's a man of few words. In the 12 years that we lived under one roof, we never really talked for long periods of time. So, everything I know about him were either gotten from my husband's stories or my own observation. But regardless of whether he spoke to me a lot or not, he was still good to me in many ways, even (and especially) to my children.
Like I said, Dad was a man of few words, but let me tell you when he would give us a bit of scolding - whenever he sees or feels that we are not taking good care of our kids, specifically with their health. You see, years of caring for our boys gave us this parental instinct that help us predict whether or not their illness need the attention of doctors or not, and that's something my father-in-law didn't like. Because of Dad's great concern for his grandchildren, he wanted us to always bring our kids to their pediatrician as soon as an illness starts to develop. Even with this difference of opinion, I couldn't get mad. Instead, I was grateful that aside from us, someone cared as much as we do for our kids.
Although my husband and I got married when we weren't financially stable yet, beginning a family wasn't hard, all because of Dad. He made one of the most difficult phase in a person's life an easy one. He paid for pre-natal check-ups, our hospital bills, our baby's monthly check-up and vaccines, and I never once heard him complain about it to our faces. He may have shared his sentiments about this to other people, but never to us. I hear other married folks complaining about their parents-in-law, I am fortunate to be not one of them. People like Dad are rare, and I was lucky to have crossed path with him in my lifetime.
I cried so hard when Dad passed away. Until today, tears still well up in my eyes when the thought of not seeing him anymore enters my mind. We survive each day without him because we imagine he's just out somewhere playing cards (tong-its) with his friends. When reality sets in, though, we get sad again. I cry because he was taken from us too soon. I cry for my children, because I know how much they'll miss their dear lolo, who was their constant companion. I cry for my mother-in-law, thinking how painful it is to lose the love of your life. I cry for my husband, especially when he tells me he misses his Dad. And finally, I cry thinking how he made a big difference in my life, and my children's lives.
Dad, we may have not exchanged a lot of words during the 12 years we spent together, but know that in exchange of millions of words, I am shedding tears for you...tears to tell you how much you are loved, missed, and how much I am thankful for all the support and understanding you have given to me and Jerome through the years. Thank you for being a loving lolo to my children, your apos. You are one of the most generous and kindest man I have ever met.
Let me end this post with a song especially dedicated for you. I know how much you loved Christmas songs, just like me (probably because we're both December babies). Every year, whenever September 1 comes, you start playing Christmas songs each morning, until Christmas day arrives. This is something we will greatly miss. Till we meet again, Dad...

If you're excited as my kids are, please hold that off for a bit, because the film is scheduled to be shown in July 2012...that's almost a year of waiting! Let's just savor the trailer for now....

My2Cents on Andie Eigenmann's Pregnancy
I am a chismosa at heart, which is why I'm a big fan of the fashionpulis blog. I couldn't resist reading it to get the latest showbiz scoop even before they officially become 'news'. The latest issue that was blind itemed (is there such a word?) by fashionpulis that became front page showbiz news is the pregnancy of Andi Eigenmann. It was bound to come out sooner or later, since it's pregnancy - a baby bump would eventually show. What's amazing is that, most people read it first at fashionpulis.com.
Anyway, going back to the issue - it was Jacklyn Jose, Andi's mom who confirmed her daughter's pregnancy. Being a mom myself, I can't imagine the pain she's going through. I am not only referring to the pain of seeing your child get pregnant out of wedlock, but also the pain of knowing her child will eventually get chastised by goody two shoes individuals out there, and mostly of the fact that her daughter didn't only get pregnant before marriage - the man responsible is literally not responsible and left Andi to face her situation alone. Kudos to Jacklyn, though, for standing by her daughter. Her strength is Andi's strength.
I know Andi is not a good role model for young women, but I do admire her for choosing her baby over her career. It's a known fact that her career's starting to take off, her pregnancy will surely place her back on the ground. But who knows, right? Filipino audience are known to always 'forgive and forget'. Let me give you some examples - Gabby Concepcion, Ruffa Gutierrez - "Take it! Take it!" Sound familiar?

Andi may not be someone women should look up to, but her choice of pushing through with pregnancy is admirable. A lot of showbiz personalities have been said to have undergone abortion before, it wouldn't surprise us if Andi decided to go that path. Some supporters of the RH Bill actually took Andi's situation as an opportunity to tell the public that what happened to her could have been avoided if Andi and her partner were sexually educated. Oh c'mon! I'm pretty sure the two know a lot about sex, they just weren't too careful. I am looking at the postive side to all of this, I am loving the fact that Andi chose life - we always have to choose life. Just my 2 cents.

Or should I say - a video of the gorgeous Ed Westwick? We know we love him, right? Enjoy girls! xoxo

CDR King's Poor Customer Service
As soon as I arrived, I called on a saleslady to ask a quick question, before getting a number. I was the only customer in that section, and the saleslady was not doing anything, and yet, when she passed by me, she completely ignored me, and never looked my way. When she made her way back to where she came from, I called on her again, and she looked, but only to tell me, "please get your number". I thought, fair enough, if you want to strictly follow your rules even when I wasn't asking to be assisted yet, i will respect that.
The incident that followed completely used up all the patience I had left. See, there were about 5-6 sales person in the store, but only 1 was assisting customers. To add to the problem, the customer being served were requesting a lot of things, not minding the other customers waiting for her to finish (not blaming her, though). There were customers waiting, and around 4 or more sales people were moving around the store, not doing something important. In fact, the lady I called who asked me to get a number arrange one item in its case. Was that more important than serving waiting customers?
I told myself, 'be more patient', as minutes passed by. But when I couldn't take it anymore, I asked the only sales lady assisting, "Miss, ikaw lang ba ang pwedeng mag assist?", that was when they all scrambled to assist me, since I was next in line. I didn't shout, but they must have noticed the tone of my voice was verging on that.
To my disappointment, the lady who ignored me when I entered the store was the one who was assigned to assist me. Even if I was really pissed of, I almost smiled when I heard the other sales people greeting customers, asking them what they need, becoming friendly - after what I did. Shouldn't they have done that even before a customer temper had gone off because of poor customer service? Even when I tried to sound cool while the lady assisted me, I couldn't hide what I felt. Honestly, I was tempted to look at their items and leave without buying just to teach them a lesson. I didn't do that.
What is really up with CDR King's store procedure, right? I feel like I was in bank or payment center when I'm there. It's messed up, instead of being organized. Would it be really a sin to answer a quick question from a customer? Should their sales people ignore customers just because they have this number thingy going on? I have worked with sales and customer service for many years, and customer is always first is the rule of all companies I worked with. If I were they, I'd station two employees per section, and they would only assist customers who need items there. Visits to CDR King stores are mostly bad experiences for me. I have had it with this one, that's why I'm blogging about it.

Jackass Dudes Minus 1 - Ryan Dunn Dead @ 34
I'm delivering a bad news today - Ryan Dunn, one of my favorite Jackass is dead at the age of 34. He's the guy who's usually thrown while inside a push cart or any type of vehicle, and ironically, he died because of a car crash on Sunday night (June 19, 2011) at Pennsylvania.
A photo of Dunn's 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 taken last June 12.
Photo of what's left of Dunn's Porsche.
Police said that the accident occurred at around 3 in the morning, on Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. Ryan was with an unknown passenger, but it's still a mystery to the police which among the two was driving when the accident happened. April Margera, the mother of Dunn's "Jackass" co-star Bam, relayed the news to WMMR 93.3's "Preston and Steve" radio show.
2 hours before Dunn's accident happened, he tweeted a picture of him with some friends, holding a glass that looked like an alcholic beverage and a cigarette. The photo was uploaded on his Tumblr account. According to TMZ, the Porsche he was in caught on fire, and the flames may have burned him partially, the reason why he was identified by his tattoos (an information provided by a witness who was on the scene when the bodies were pulled from the wreckage.
Last photo tweeted by Dunn.
"We are devastated by the tragic loss of Ryan Dunn — a beloved member of the MTV family for more than a decade," Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music/Film Group, said in a statement. "He made us all laugh and had the tireless enthusiastic approach to life of your favorite middle school friend. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Ryan's family and friends. The Jackass brotherhood will never be the same."
I would like to impart the same message to Ryan Dunn's family - my deepest condolences. Ryan Dunn cracked me up loads of times. Who would forget the x-ray of a toy car stuck up in his ass, right? Rest in peace, Ryan, people who'll remember you will always have a smile on their faces.

All About The Green Lantern
"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!"
I have never been a comic book fan, so I am not really familiar with the superhero, Green Lantern. Growing up, the only superheroes I knew were Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Super Girl, and the X-Men. Oops! Almost forgot the other two, Darna and Captain Barbel. Haha!
Apparently, The Green Lantern existed many years ago, the reason why he's well-known to my father. I am referring to the original Green Lantern, because it turns out that there are both an old and a new version of him, aptly called, the Golden Age Green Lantern and the Silver Age Revival Green Lantern. Before I went to the cinema to watch Ryan Reynolds in a body-hugging green suit, I did some research about the superhero he's playing.
The Golden Age Green Lantern
The original Green Lantern was created by Martin Nodell (using the name Mart Dellon) and Bill Finger, during Golden Age of comic books, which was between the 1930s until the early 1950s. The Golden Age was the time when comic books enjoyed immense popularity. The story of the Green Lantern was first published by All-American Publications (one of the companies that will merge to form DC Comics) in the All-American Comics # 16.
The real name of the Green Lantern was Alan Scott, a railroad engineer who had come into possession of a magic lantern after a railway crash, which spoke to him and said it would bring power. From this, he crafted a magic ring which gave him a wide variety of powers. The limitations of the ring were that it had to be "charged" every 24 hours by touching it to the lantern for a time, and that it did not work on non-metals like wood.
Unfortunately, after World War II, the popularity of superheroes declined. The Green Lantern comic book was cancelled with issue #38. All Star Comics #57 (1951) was the character's last Golden Age appearance.
The Silver Age Revival Green Lantern
DC Comics was formed in the late 1950s, and it was them that introduced the public to the Silver Age revival of comic books, and successfully revived comic book superheroes, one of them being the Green Lantern.
This Green Lantern was Hal Jordan, a test pilot who was given a power ring by a dying alien, Abin Sur, and who became a member of the Green Lantern Corps, an interstellar organization of police overseen by the Guardians of the Universe. The Corps' rings were powerless against anything colored yellow, due to a yellow-colored "dopant" in the master power generator located on Oa, where the Guardians maintained their headquarters, without which dopant the master generator would not function as such. Jordan's creation was motivated by a desire to make him more of a science fiction hero, editor Julius Schwartz having been a longtime fan of that genre and literary agent who saw pop-culture tastes turning in that direction. It was this Green Lantern that Warner Bros. turned into a movie starring Ryan Reynolds as the superhero.
The Green Lantern is now out in cinemas beginning June 16. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it yet to comment whether it was great or not. Hopefully, I will be able to watch it tomorrow. For Pampanga residents, below are the cinema schedules in the Angeles City area.

Kasalang Filipino 2011 at the Marquee Mall
Being a budding wedding planner, it was a great opportunity for me to attend bridal fairs. They are the coming together of wedding vendors, and where else could I gather vendor contacts but there, right?
Last June 11, I was able to go to my first bridal fair, Kasalang Filipino 2011, at the Marquee Mall. I chatted with representatives of wedding vendors - caterers, wedding photographers, make-up artists, photo booth renters, and caught glimpses of displayed wedding gowns by famous capampangan couturiers, including that of my friend, amazing designer Jojo Macapinlac.
It was both a business and pleasure trip for me. It was made fun and pleasurable because we were able to taste dessert samples from a caterer, and had our photos taken at photo booths, The Photo Pop and Baicapture.
Kasalang Filipino is the premiere Philippine wedding and tourism fair road show. Their stint at Marquee Mall was the 6th leg of Kasalang Filipino 2011. The bridal road show’s aim is to promote the local wedding and tourism industry. Kasalang Filipino 2011 is scheduled to appear in 13 cities in the Philippines. Aside from Pampanga, the cities of Cabanatuan, General Santos, Dagupan, Bacolod, Dumaguete, San Pablo, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, San Fernando, Bulacan and Cebu are also included. The event is open to the public.

Titanic: Sailing Back in Theaters 3D Style
Great news to all moviegoers who loved the Titanic movie, which used to hold the title, "the highest grossing film of all-time", because director James Cameron has decided to convert the film in 3D. By the way, he was the writer, producer, and director of the movie (as well as the hand who drew the naked Kate Winslet while she's wearing the 'heart of the ocean' necklace). Cameron is in collaboration with his Lightstorm producing partner, Jon Landau, along with Paramount Pictures, and 20th Century, in re-releasing Titanic.
This is a great opportunity for people who saw the film, when it was released back in 1997, to enjoy watching it again in 3D quality, as well as to the generation who are only able to enjoy it through DVDs. Cameron was quoted saying, "There's a whole generation that's never seen Titanic as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen," he continued, "And this will be Titanic as you've never seen it before, digitally remastered at 4K and painstakingly converted to 3D. With the emotional power intact and the images more powerful than ever, this will be an epic experience for fans and newcomers alike."
I know that I am not alone when I say that Titanic is one of the greatest films of all-time. In fact, the film won an outstanding 11 Oscars (including Best Picture) during the 71st Academy Awards, a feat only reached by the film, 'Ben Hur'. Together, they have the record of 'the most ever won Oscars'.
Currently, Titanic, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, is the second-highest-grossing movie of all time, since Avatar (a film written, directed, and produced also by Cameron) already took their number one spot.
The re-release of Titanic will be on April 6, 2012, a date that coincides with the 100th anniversary of the ship setting sail, which is April 10. It's only June 7, 2011 and I am already excited to see the film.

SPOTTED: Chuck Bass in Manila for Penshoppe Photo Shoot
Gossip Girl fans...guess who's in town? Why, it's the one and only Chuck Bass! According to my Twitter radar, Ed Westwick (the actor playing Chuck Bass) is in Manila to do a photo shoot for Penshoppe's Pre-Holiday Season 2011 and Summer 2012 campaign.
Along with Penshoppe, Ed's arrival in Manila is in cooperation with PR Asia Worldwide, represented by International Publicist, Joyce Ramirez (who's photographed with the actor).
For anyone who's familiar with Ed Westwick's Gossip Girl character, Chuck Bass, it's no surprise why Penshoppe chose him to represent their brand in their goal to upgrade to an international level. According to Penshoppe's brand manager, Alex Mendoza, "Ed will embody the free and easy, sophisticated casual style that the brand is known for."
Unfortunately, I am not Gossip Girl, and can't tell you what places the actor will go to, for you to try and take a look at him in person. However, you can follow, @PublicityAsia on Twitter, for updates on Ed Westwick's activities in Manila.

Kung Fu Panda 2 in Theaters Tomorrow
Po and the rest of the gang is back! I'm pretty sure it would be funnier and action-packed this time around, especially with the introduction of new villains in the cast. My youngest son, Sef, keeps reminding me everyday that Kung Fu Panda 2 will come out May 26. Like I (a movie-buff) would forget, right?
In Kung Fu Panda 2, Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five. But Po's new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. He must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will Po be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed.

Kristine Hermosa is 6 Weeks Pregnant
After reports of her having a hard time getting pregnant because of her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Kristine Hermosa confirmed through Star Magic publicist, Thess Gubi, that she's finally pregnant. She's 6 weeks on the family way, and couldn't be more happy.
Not so long ago, January 12, 2011, Kristine tied the knot with Oyo Boy Sotto, at Club Balai Isabel in Talisay, Batanggas. They looked so happy during their wedding day, an evidence that Tin appeared to have really found a soul-mate with Oyo.
Here's another look at their wedding video by Bong Sare.

Can't Stay Away from Each Other?
I can't help it - I'm gonna say it...."Spotted, Blake Lively strolling along the streets of Portofino, Italy with Leonardo Di Caprio!" I think this is it, we're nearing a confirmation that they really are together. Is 'B' the reason why 'L' recently split up with her ex, who's another 'B'? What a jump (or should I say 'leap'?) - from Penn Badgely to Leo Di Caprio.
Am I the only one excited about this new couple? I think not! They look so good together, so eat your heart out, Brangelina! :)

Who's Going to be the Next American Idol?
When American Idol Season 10 began, I told my husband that the winner will most likely be a country singer. Well, it looks like I am correct with my prediction, since the two finalists are both country singers - Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina.
When Thursday night came, American Idol's avid viewers found out who will the finalists be, and the road to becoming the next Idol finally came to an end for Haley Reinhart. Although the girl could really sing, she was not a crowd favorite from the start, proven by her repeatedly being a part of the bottom three. But Haley gave a strong comeback performance, and remained at the top until Thursday night's elimination.
Elimination night also witnessed the making of new Idol history first, the two finalists, Lauren and Scotty, ages 16 and 17 years old respectively, are the youngest two finalists ever on American Idol.
Will Steven's prediction of finding 'the one', right after Lauren's audition, come true? Honestly, my2cents, if Lauren sings well on finale night, she will be favored more by voters and win the American Idol crown. I'm crossing my fingers that she does, to end the losing streak of women singers on Idol, come finale night.

Is Blair Pregnant with Chuck's Child?
Another season has ended for Gossip Girl, and what a season finale (aptly titled, 'The Wrong Goodbye') it has been. First, there was the revelation of who Charlie (Serena's cousin) really is, then there's Vanessa's discovery of Dan's secret (that he really badly wanted to join the 'elite' Upper East Side crowd), Georgina's return, Chuck and Blair's one night stand (well, more one hour than one night), and of course, the cliffhanger of the season - Dorota picking up Serena and Blair's trash that has a used pregnancy test kit with a positive result on it. So who's pregnant, Serena or Blair?
Towards the end of Gossip Girl's Season 4 finale episode, the main characters of the show go off their separate ways -
Blair flies off to Monaco with Louis, to spend her summer there, and to prepare for her upcoming royal wedding.
Serena goes to California for the summer, while Dan decides to go to the Hamptons (surprise, surprise). I thought at first they were both off to the Hamptons, and I was ready to give this big question mark on whether they will see each other there, and rekindle their romance once again. So, Serena goes to California with her grandmother, where she meets a new guy, and it looked like she also found a new job.
Charlie goes back home, and when Serena's aunt meets her at the bus station, it was revealed that she isn't Charlie after all, but Ivy. She was hired by her 'supposed' mom, Carol, to obtain the real Charlie's trust fund money. Apparently, Carol didn't want her real daughter to go near Cece, Lily, Serena, and the Upper East Side.
Vanessa steals Dan's manuscript, sells it to a publisher (with an anonymous author), and asked for the money to be sent to her new address - in Spain.
Meanwhile, Chuck and Nate, now both eligible bachelors once again, chose a random place using the Globe to spend their summer in.
So, who is pregnant? The obvious points to Blair. Between Chuck and Louis, she already chose the former, since she loves him more than the prince. Before she begins her fairytale life, though, she did "do the deed" with Chuck, a few hours before she went with her prince. It's the clear proof that she's the one who tested positive with a home pregnancy test. If that is true, then Chair's (Chuck+Blair) love story just got more exciting!
Still, let us not forget that it's Gossip Girl we're talking about here. Just because the obvious points to Blair, doesn't mean that we're positive that she's positive. It could be Serena. After all, they shared one bathroom, right? Maybe she had a rendezvous meeting with Dan or Nate. Well, we'll never know until the show returns in September. Ugh! 4 months of waiting!
XOXO
